Care of your Quilt,

Our quilts are made from new materials consisting of high quality cottons,satins,damasks, linens etc. Each quilt is basically made from two layers of fabric with a filling in between of either 2oz, 4oz,or 6oz polyester wadding or 100% cotton batting. Each quilt is machine pieced to create the quilt top. The backing is of a Complementary coloured fabric to the top. Each quilt is individually assembled and completely hand quilted on a quilting frame with a strong good quality quilting cotton. The fabrics are not prewashed, therefore preserving the true colour and crispness of the final product.With all this in mind, it is essential that customers know how to care for their quilts.

GENERAL CLEANING
Clean your quilt at least once every six months with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner with an attatchment nozzle, to remove dust. Accumulated dust will increase wear and cause the colours to dull.

STAINS
Mix water with a delicate laundry detergent in equal parts and dab the mixture on the spot. Do not rub as this will cause colours to run or the pile to fluff up.

DRY CLEANING
We recommend that all our quilts be dry cleaned only, due to the delicate hand quilting and also to avoid colour runs in the unwashed fabrics. Many customers have washed their products on a delicate cycle in the washing machine , with excellent results, however we cannot accept any responsibility for damage due to cleaning this way. If in doubt consult your local dry cleaning specialist and have them test a small section for colour fastness.

PROLONGED HEAT AND SUNLIGHT
Avoid exposure of your quilt to prolonged sunlight since this may cause excessive fading of colours and rotting of the fabric. Avoid direct heat e.g radiators etc as this will destroy the layer of pile.

FINALLY-WE HAVE EVERY CONFIDENCE IN THE QUALITY OF OUR PRODUCTS AND WE SHALL MAKE RIGHT ANY DEFECTS THAT MAY ARISE TO FAULTY WORKMANSHIP. HOWEVER, WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WEAR AND TEAR OR FADING OF MATERIALS OR DAMAGE DUE TO CLEANING.
